Through an illustrated slide presentation\, you’ll learn the key clues — bark\, buds\, branching patterns\, and more — that reveal a tree’s identity when leaves are gone. \n\n\n\nThen head outside into the beautiful Mapleton Preserve to put your new skills into practice on a guided walk through the woodland. \n\n\n\nAnd because it’s Pi Day\, we’ll wrap up the afternoon with celebratory “pizza pi” — a fun and delicious ending to a nature-filled experience. \n\n\n\nThis workshop is free\, but space is limited to 20 participants.
