Others scoped out the actual location of the conference on horseback, in the middle of the Kingston Presbyterian Church cemetery.


The foundation of the original 18th century church was marked with a red ribbon.
Kingston Presbyterian Church
Prior to 1766 our house of worship was built on this site. The wooden structure was destroyed by fire in 1791, and a new building was erected on the same foundation soon afterward. This church building served our congregation until 1852 when we moved to our current location, on Main Street, north of this site.

The reenactment did not take place in the Presbyterian cemetery, but rather in front of it, on Church Street, and in the Kingston United Methodist Church which was built in the 1800s.
