Kingston: Bamboo Cutting

Second Annual Bamboo Cutting
Saturday, May 30, 2026, 9-11 AM

Please come join us while we work to restore a little balance to our greenway. Bamboo will be available for your gardens (trellis/teepees), arts and crafts, polinator hotels, or musical instruments! Meet at the D&R Canal State Park headquarters at 145 Mapleton Road to join the cutting effort or to pick up cut pieces.

This event is rain or shine, unless there’s a hint of thunder. We supply gloves and water for refilling your own bottles, and provide cutting tools–or you may bring your own. (But please be aware that no power tools may be used on Park land.)
