“100 Years of the Kingston Volunteer Fire Company”

Community fire protection for Kingston, New Jersey began with an organizational meeting on February 29, 1924. The Kingston Volunteer Fire Company No. 1 (as it was then officially named) received a state charter later in that year.

In celebration of its 100th anniversary, former chief George Luck, Jr. will present an illustrated talk covering the history and membership of the fire company.

About Our Speaker:

Fire Chief George Luck Jr, now retired from fire company leadership, is also vice president of the Kingston Historical Society and a familiar presenter of history in Central New Jersey. He has spent over 50 years in the Fire Company and is fascinated with learning about the organization’s past.
